Champlain Canal

We have spent the last two days covering the Champlain Canals. We are now docked for the day at lock twelve and will begin the trip on Lake Champlain tomorrow. Even though everything is open this way the water is still high along this route and passing under several bridges has been VERY CLOSE on height. As always locks on the canal do take time and the going has been slow but the journey a good one. We have met many boaters and some great people. We will miss our family gathering tonight for the
fourth of July on the boat back home.  We have not missed the fireworks together for a long time. Hopefully here at Whitehall there will be some for us to see.  In just a couple of days we will be in Canada and so I will be blogging only about twice a week due to the cost factor and  air time from Verizon we have purchased. We figure it will take us about three weeks this way before we get back into the states.

  1. I know that Jean missed your presence too. I work with Jean at WW. She gave me your blog address. I will have fun watching the rest of your trip. Wish I had known about this blog from the beginning. Safe Travels.
