Today we covered half of Lake Champlain. Tomorrow we will stop just one mile short of Canada and stay at the Gaines Marina to prepare to cross over to the Canadian Wharf. Lake Champlain is a beautiful ride and so very full of history. Three different wars dot the shores of Lake Champlain. One of the highlights today was seeing Fort Ticonderoga high on the hill overlooking the lake. We were surprised to find out how deep the lake is, many areas were over 300 feet deep.
